News reports are blowing up over the internet that millionaire Donald Trump will be endorsing former House Speaker Newt Gingrich tomorrow in a Nevada press conference.

According to a local Las Vegas television station

"An advisor to Donald Trump says he will make a major announcement in Las Vegas tomorrow. Sources tell the 8 News NOW I-Team Trump will endorse Newt Gingrich…

Gingrich enters the Nevada Caucus after getting beat by Mitt Romney in Florida. He has spent the day in campaigning in Reno."

Endorsements  themselves don't mean a great deal....But this might at least diffuse the 3rd Party bomb that Trump has held over the GOP, should Gingrich get the nomination.  It also might mean some much needed campaign money for the Gingrich campaign.

UPDATE:  Donald Trump has now confirmed that he will be endorsing Mitt Romney instead of Newt because of his positions on OPEN and China.

According to the New York Times:

"Donald J. Trump has withdrawn from the Republican Party to retain the ability to run as an independent candidate in the 2012 presidential election, his political adviser confirmed on Friday. “Mr. Trump did this in order to preserve his legal right to run as an independent if in fact he’s not satisfied with who the Republican candidate is going to be,” said the adviser, Michael Cohen, a Trump Organization executive.

“His core Republican principles haven’t changed at all,” he said. “This was simply to preserve his right to run.”

Mr. Cohen would not say which of the seven Republican candidates would prompt Mr. Trump to enter the race, but Mr. Trump has been openly critical of Representative Ron Paul of Texas and Jon M. Huntsman Jr.

This year, Mr. Trump considered running as a Republican, but abandoned his bid in early May, saying, “Business is my greatest passion, and I am not ready to leave the private sector.”

Mr. Trump may jump back into the game when his NBC television show“The Apprentice”wraps up in June, his adviser said. “Even at that late date,” Mr. Cohen said, “He still will be capable of ensuring that his name is on the ballot in all 50 states.”"

I would suggest that if Mr. Trump does decide to run he's flipped his wig.  This will certainly insure another four years of Obama.

The Donald has apparently fired himself from being the moderator of a planned debate later this month as only presidential candidates Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum accepted his invitation.

The way that Trump has handled this whole thing makes him look like he's trying to be a kingmaker, along with all of the pilgrimages to Trump Tower.  I sincerely hope that he finds that he can live with the GOP nominee as a 3rd party run by him would be a disaster much like his hair.  I actually like Trump and think he would make an excellent President, but a 3rd party run guarantees the reelection of Obama.  If he truly cares for his country, he'll bankroll the nominee with as much as he can like George Soros did for King Barry in 2008 to get the moron from Maui out of the Oval Office and back
